We created Birdie as a much-needed solution to the problem of finding amazing, qualified childcare that you can trust and feel comfortable leaving your children with. Not only is it difficult to find a great sitter, the time it takes to do so can be overwhelming!

We are making it easy to find short-term sitters when you need them, anywhere from 24 hours to 1 month in advance.

We are just beginning the journey to complete our mobile app and thus are starting with bookings through the website. We hope that you will join us on this journey and give us the chance to win your trust with our exceptional sitters and customer service. We will be with you every step of the way.

Our Process

As parents ourselves, we want to make sure only the best sitters are available on the Birdie platform. All Birdie sitters have at least 1 year related childcare experience, CPR and First Aid, a valid Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check and a clean Criminal Record Check in addition to 2 personal references and an interview by our Birdie recruitment team.

Cost and Payment

MEMBERSHIP

Customers simply pay the hourly Birdie Rate listed on each sitter's profile. Sitters set their own hourly rate according to the industry standards in your city and based on their level of experience. The Birdie Rate is their hourly rate with a Birdie fee added which allows for us to continue finding amazing sitters and maintaining the service.

PAYMENT

Currently we are doing payments through the web via email - no need to have cash on hand when you return home! Once our app is running, all payments will be done through the app automatically once each sitter session is complete.
